Foundation Lifting

Foundation Stabilization and Lifting Calculator – A Precision Tool for Professionals

The Foundation Stabilization and Lifting Calculator is an advanced tool designed for accurately planning the drilling and injection process, particularly when reinforcing and stabilizing foundations with products like ResinBau GeoPolymer.55, SoilConsolid, and others.

How Does the Calculator Work?

The calculator requires key data on foundation geometry and soil conditions:

1️⃣ Wall Thickness [cm]:

Enter the thickness of the foundation wall, which serves as a reference point for the foundation’s centerline and wall.

2️⃣ Distance to the Base of the Foundation [cm]:

Provide the exact distance from the surface (ground or internal floor) to the bottom edge of the foundation.

Measured in a straight line down to the foundation base, as shown in the diagram.

3️⃣ Depth for Placing the Lance Under the Foundation [cm]:

Specify how deep below the foundation the injection point should be (e.g., 80 cm, 2 m). This is critical for anchoring in the correct soil layer per the stabilization plan.

With precise calculations, you can effectively design any foundation underpinning project, achieving optimal results using perforated or fired-tip injection lances.

Calculation Results:

📐 Drilling Angle:

The precise angle (in degrees) at which to drill to reach the designated injection point under the foundation.

📏 Distance from the Wall [cm]:

The distance you need to step away from the wall to drill at the correct angle and hit the intended point.

🔧 Total Lance Length in Soil and Foundation:

The total length of the lance (in centimeters) required to reach the zero point under the foundation.

🔧 Lance Length in the Foundation:

The length of the lance passing through the foundation (or ground/floor), which does not directly participate in the injection process.

🔧 Lance Length in the Soil:

The length of the lance located in the soil below the foundation that participates in the injection process.

Using the Results

With the calculator, you can:

  1. Precisely Define the Injection Zero Point:
Determine where the injection material should be introduced into the soil, exactly in the chosen soil layer beneath the foundation.

  2. Optimize Lance Usage:
Select the appropriate lance based on your data:
Perforated Lances (Hammpack®): Allow for broader area injections in a single step.
Solid Lances with Fired Tips (Hammpack®): Ideal for precise, point-specific soil stabilization.

  3. Plan Multiple Injections:
With varying drilling angles, designate multiple injection points in different soil layers if your project requires it.

Why Is the Calculator Essential?

  • Precision: Eliminates guesswork by providing exact drilling and lance length parameters.
  • Versatility: Supports various drilling angles and lance depths tailored to soil conditions.
  • Efficiency: Optimizes the injection process, saving time and materials.
  • Process Repeatability: Precisely planned injections minimize the risk of destabilizing the foundation.

Practical Tips:

  1. Accurate Measurements: Precisely measure foundation geometry, wall thickness, and the distance to the foundation base.
  2. Select the Right Drilling Angle: The calculator suggests angles from 15° to 85°, in 5° increments, enabling you to choose the best solution for the site conditions.
  3. Consider Soil Conditions: Ensure the chosen soil layer is load-bearing and stable when deciding on the lance depth in the soil.
  4. Plan Multi-Point Injections: For larger stabilization projects, consider injections from multiple points to enhance uniformity.
  5. Perform a Test Injection: Validate your measurements and ensure correct execution before proceeding with the full project.
