By how much to deepen the hole from the intersection of the scratch to the selection [%] 

You can only see the crack from the outside, but you don’t know its course inside the structure. It may twist to one side.
Therefore, we increase the chance of hitting the light of the crack:
a) drilling alternately

b) at the right angle and distance from the crack

c) deepening the drilling from the planned intersection point

We suggest a range of 30 – 40% bore deepening

Crack cut in % of wall thickness selectable: [ 50% / 40% / 30% of the wall].
In most cases, the best point of intersection of a crack in the wall for the constitution will be 50% of its thickness (half). Such an intersection gives an even spread in both directions of the crack.
To meet the needs of our customers, who suggested that the calculators give the option of cutting the wall at 30% and 40% these values are also selectable (and in some cases are more desirable than drilling at 50% thickness).
