Filling beneath slabs
Filling and stabilising the space beneath a slab after establishing geometry, access and material escape paths.
STABILISATION AND FILLING
Two-component resin for stabilising soil and floors and filling beneath slabs. Forms a semi-rigid mass without foaming on contact with moisture.
| Base / system | Polyurethane-polyurea-silicate resin A + B |
|---|---|
| A : B ratio | 100 : 100 by volume; 100 : 75 by weight |
| Mixture viscosity | 250 mPa·s at 20°C |
| Mixture density | 1.30 g/cm³ at 20°C |
| Processing / curing at 20°C | 2 min / 15 min |
| Behaviour in moisture | Moisture tolerance, without foaming |
| Delivery method | 2K pump; two material lines A and B, with a mixing head suited to the short reaction time |
Read values together with the temperature, material state and test conditions.
| Viscosity of A / B / mixture at 20°C | 300 / 200 / 250 mPa·s |
|---|---|
| Density of A / B / mixture at 20°C | 1.45 / 1.10 / 1.30 g/cm³ |
| Processing time: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25°C | 4 / 3 / 2 / 1.5 min |
| Curing time: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25°C | 30 / 20 / 15 / 5 min |
| Component temperature before application | +10 to +30°C |
Use the ratio on its correct basis: equal volumes do not mean equal masses. The table gives indicative material times; it does not specify when a floor can be released for loading.
First establish the repair objective, substrate condition, presence of water and joint movement.

Selection for the assessed ground structure. Strengthening is evaluated in the soil, independently of resin curing alone.
The TDS covers stabilising, sealing and strengthening injection, as well as sealing connections. Joint behaviour must be compatible with a semi-rigid filling.
Selection requires assessment of soil, water, voids and loads. Resin specimen parameters are not the capacity of the strengthened soil. Confirm injection extent, quantity and effect through a trial and the adopted monitoring programme; a pressure increase alone does not confirm completion. Absence of foaming does not automatically mean the material can lift a slab or is suitable for a moving expansion joint.
Tolerates moisture; no foaming according to the TDS. Semi-rigid material; joint movement and loading require separate assessment.

Work sequence after assessing the structure and selecting the method. Full requirements are given in the product instructions.
Establish soil layers, voids, water and adjacent elements. Plan injection points, sequence and stop criteria.
Before application, bring both components to +10 to +30°C. Connect separate circuits to the 2K pump, check the 1:1 volume ratio and operation of the mixing head.
Start with a trial section. Record quantity, pressure, flow and the response of the structure. Select settings for the soil and objective; do not derive pressure from material strength.
Compare the result with the task criteria. Flush and maintain the system according to the product and equipment instructions; the A + B reaction starts when they are combined.
Clean the 2K resin system with PI-CLEANER before the material sets, then maintain with PI-SAVER according to the product instructions.
Choose the instructions for your task and calculate material quantities using clearly defined assumptions.
